Located in a pristine wilderness environment, the Batiscan is a
challenging spring river. There are plenty of exciting rapids, calm
stretches to enjoy the scenery, and fine trains of waves for body
surfing. Almost as soon as the rafts leave the put in, they hit
the first rapid, "Les Trois Roches", that sets the tone
of the day on the river. Quickly following is the Rollers, and then
miles of continuous wave trains. The latter part of the trip is
punctuated by the surging "Chute Pierre Antoine"and culminates
at the exciting "Tower" rapid.
